What is in the affidavit submitted by MCI in Supreme court?

MCI has demanded the dismissal of the petition that asked for the setting up of exam centres abroad, stating that the students can return back to India under the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’. They also stated that delaying the exams further would result in disturbed academic schedule and would disrupt the upcoming academic session. As per the affidavit filed by MCI in Hon’ble Supreme Court, it is not possible to set up examination centres outside India, as it needs meticulous planning and arrangement of infrastructure amidst this pandemic is not feasible. However, MCI maintained the fact that as per the existing laws admission to medical courses can only be granted on the base of uniform entrance test.

This petition was filed by the parents of applicants residing in Doha, Qatar.
. This affidavit is filed in response to that petition. The decision of the Kerala high court has been challenged in this matter which had previously dismissed the plea demanding the setting up of exam centres in gulf countries. Justice L. Nageshwar Rao, Justice Hemant Gupta and Justice S Ravindra Bhatt had issued a notice regarding the same. Further hearing on this matter will take place on the 24th August.

In the affidavit filed by advocate Gaurav Sharma, MCI has stated that the current petition does not require the interference of the honorable Supreme court as the government of India has permitted the people living abroad to travel and reach India under the Vande Bharat Mission. Markedly, Supreme Court had also clearly mentioned about the availability of flights to return to India under the Vande Bharat mission in their last hearing.

The applicants have also mentioned all the difficulties that will be faced while trying to conduct the examination abroad. They quoted that NEET is a pen and paper exam and hence should be uniform and fair for all the applicants.

I want to say that what is imp for u.. students life or exam or money which u get from coaching mafias or private colleges..we are more concerned for our parents..
Listen..give us promise that if any one of us get infections for corona than u all who want to take exam than u have to leave the chair and resign..if u are promising and fill the affidavit on this matter than we are ready for giving exam..

Sir NEET nd JEE are not only exams but these are our dreams…. Our family members have a lot of expectations from us.. Give exam by wearing mask and gloves for such a long time it’s not easy to students like me who have asthmatic problems And also wear specs become foggy which divert our focus during exam and we are not able to give our 100% during the exam…. Also there is a problem of transportation for many students.. Please help us 🙏🙏

If it is so then why the parliament is closed? Why meetings are being held virtually? Why the same judge who gave judgement to conduct exams amid pandmic was present on video conference?? Is only their life important?Are we rats of laboratory?
For what is this education minister & this prime minister who is silent on such a huge issue?? Is really India democratic, I doubt. & why nta is tweeting at 1 am in night with spelling mistakes and without signature of Vineet joshi?? Answer all my questions, I m ready to give exam.

It’s already so late sir, what’s the harm if the exam is conducted in November. Even if the exams be conducted and all procedure for admission is done, yet commencement of classes will be likely to happen only at the beginning of next year. So why can’t it be delayed.
Each day the no of cases are making records. Prevailing situation is unfit for the atmosphere of appearing exams. Even at certain places weekend lock down is going. Moreover flood at several states including mine( odisha( has washed away roads, and transportation is still at pause. How do you think children will reach? How can you ensure there will be ni traffic jam at the center and we will be able to reach the center on time. Wearing 3-layered mask for 3- 4 hours is painful. Also, wearing hand gloves for such long hours, sweating will occur, which may damage the omr sheet. It’s not that we don’t want to have exams, we just want it to be postponed until favourable conditions. These exams are our gateway to reach our dreams, so are anxious to give, yet health is most important.

Sir, the conditions is not favour in to handle the mental pressure of these exams .Its not an easy task to handle pressure of examination hall wearing masks and gloves. And how can we travel in this Pandemic and where would we stay before exam. Sir there is nothing in favour of taking exams in September.

अगर आप इस परिस्थिति में एग्जाम लेंगे तो आपको हजारो लाखों डॉक्टर नहीं , लाखों मरीज मिलेंगे ।

Sir, I am a student of Saharsa district as we all know that the examination of Jee is from 1 to 6 and the examination of NEET is going to be on 13 September.We all want the date of the paper to be pushed forward and there are many reasons for this as follow:-
First of all, we are not mentally prepare for exam in this covid situation,
2.There are many positive cases coming daily in our Bihar and we all are worried about how I will go out of the house.
What is necessary or will we be able to come back safely.

2. Our center is 400-500 less away from here and as we know, the traffic keeps on for 2-3 days.As you might know yourself, transport service is still closed in many states and we belongs from middle class family and we all do not have that much money.That we could go somewhere with the beloved vehicle.If we all go from a bus and auto to the center in which there will be many students together, then tell me your risk that we will all be safe.

Please Sir postpone not only JEE and NEET 2020 but all the exam which you wants to conduct in coivd-19 phase and decide any appropriate date for conducting these all exam after when the situation will be handle and numbers of positive cases decreases.

We r ready for examination but there more othe problem like transport,covid19 and flood etc

अभी जिस तरह के हालात है, उसमे सभी को साफ साफ दिख रहा है की परीक्षा नहीं लि जा सकती है, फिर भी सरकार चाह रही है की परीक्षा हो, बच्चों के भविष्य से जायदा जरूरी अभी बच्चों की जिंदगी है, बच्चे अगर रहे ही नहीं तो क्या आगे बढ़ेंगे…..
इस covid pandemic मे न जाने कितने ऐसे बच्चे होली मे ये सोच कर आए थे की 2-4दिन रुकेंगे और अब तक रुके है, वो पढ़ने के लिए अपनी सारी किताबें तक नहीं ला पाए है ऐसे मे कैसे कोई एग्जाम दे सकेगा…… सरकार को भी समझनी होंगी इस विचारधारा को….. लाखों के संख्या मे बच्चे एक साथ एग्जाम देंगे, उस दिन कितने बच्चे एक साथ बाहर आएंगे…. ऐसे मे 20-30%बच्चे या उसके अभीभावक को corona होता है तो इसकी जिम्मेदारी सरकार लेगी? Neet उसकी जिंदगी उस समय बचाएगी……. कहने को, बोलने को बहुत कुछ है…… लेकिन सरकार को हमारी भी समस्या समझनी चाहिए….. #no postponed #no vote
